Economy

A Simple System

OneSMP uses a diamond-backed hybrid economy. It is meant to support gameplay, not take it over.

Overview

Diamonds represent real value in the economy, while /balance exists for convenience and smoother trading.

Core idea:
Diamonds hold value. Balance makes that value easier to move around.

How it Works

  • Diamonds are the main store of value.
  • /balance is used for player trades, pricing clarity, and server features.
  • Players can trade with diamonds, money, or a mix of both.

Earning and Spending

Earn money by:

  • Trading with other players.
  • Selling diamonds with /sell diamond.

Spend money on:

  • Player shops.
  • Server features and plugins such as claims, warps, and other utility systems.

Player-Driven Market

  • There are no admin-controlled shops.
  • Players decide what items are worth.
  • Shops and markets are created by players, not by the server.
  • Use /warps to find places to buy and sell.
  • Spawn has rentable stalls and buildings. Reach out to staff if you want to reserve a space to sell items.

Important Notes

  • The economy supports gameplay. It does not control it.
  • Participation is optional.
  • You can play normally without focusing heavily on money.
  • Veteran players can still build larger markets, pricing systems, and trade networks over time.

Rules and Fairness

  • Exploits such as x-ray, duping, or economy abuse are not allowed.
  • Fair play is required to keep the system stable.
  • If something gives an unfair economy advantage, staff can step in even if it is not listed word-for-word here.
